Hello lovelies! I hope you are all doing well! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting as much, exam week has been quite stressful but I’m glad that I found some time to start blogging again!
I’m in love with this outfit, especially the skirt. My best friend Dania Badawi let me borrow her Valentine’s Day outfit for this shoot! She has such a classic, vintage style and she’s inspired by pastels and the 1950s (Check out her amazing Instagram!) I love how she styled this look, it’s so chic and simple. The skirt is from ChicWish and they have the most absolutely STUNNING skirts. I’ve seen so many bloggers posts pictures in their beautiful mid-calf length skirts and I’m in love with each and every one. I’m definitely going to invest in some of my own but there’s just too many cute options!
Sorry I haven’t been posting as much lately. But I’m glad that I’m finally getting to blog about my last outfit from my trip to New York! This is probably one of my favorites since I’m in love with fur vests and thigh-high boots. We spent our last full day hanging out around the Upper East Side, Lauderee, and Central Park. Central Park is pure beauty, I can see why it’s such an iconic place to go to in New York. The trees and crisp autumn air made everything even more breathtaking. I loved all the warm tones between golden hues and burnt oranges. I hope you love this look!
New York instantly grew on me, I’m still mesmerized by it’s beauty and I’m craving some gyro and amazing street food..Maybe going back in the Spring doesn’t sound like such a bad idea…Well we spent our third day doing some sightseeing; across Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown, and we went to meet up with a friend for dinner at a restaurant called “Heart of India” and their pistachio ice-cream is absolutely delicious! Check out some of my pictures from the trip below!
Packing was lot easier since I mainly focused on the tops I was wearing instead of a head-to-toe outfit. I loved the Burberry-inspired print on this scarf and I like how it doubles up as a blank and cardigan. To stay extra warm, I wore a turtleneck as my main top underneath the cardigan. I have been addicted to wearing poncho-inspired items this season to the point where I wear them every day to class since they’re so comfortable and easy to throw on over a plain shirt. I wanted to keep the color palette simple so I stuck with khaki and cream shades and wore brown accessories like my sunglasses and purse.
Sorry if I haven’t been blogging about my New York trip everyone! There’s so many details that I want to write about but I’ve also been so busy. New York is such a beautiful, iconic city. The lifestyle there is so colorful, creative, and constantly evolving everyday. We spent the second day in NY visiting many of the iconic sites throughout the city such as Battery Park, Madison Square Garden, Washington Square Park, The Statue of Liberty, etc so I’m sharing some of my pictures with you! The day went by so fast since we mainly spent time walking everywhere around town.
I wanted to have one, elegant and classy look for New York so I was inspired by vintage Old Hollywood looks. I decided to dress simple by wearing all black: a black long sleeve, skinny jeans, and shoes. I highly recommend wearing leggings underneath jeans so you have an extra layer of warmth if you have to walk a lot in the cold weather. I opted for a cape coat with leopard fur accents. I love the the texture of the fur and it kept me warm and cozy throughout the day without weighing me down. I loved how it was a poncho/cape coat rather than a regular coat because it was loose and easy to move my arms around. I decided to loosely curl my hair (which ended up getting messed up by the wind..) and pair my look with red, crimson lipstick and my favorite diamond earrings. I also liked the idea of wearing leather gloves so I brought these dark chocolate brown elbow-length gloves that paired perfectly with fur coat. I love how this look was so quick and easy to get ready and I felt so glamorous.
I’m super excited to have finally announced my new blog to the public! I can’t wait to continue this journey as a new Fashion Blogger! Stay tuned for more projects and surprises!
I decided to check out the famous MELT Icecream a couple months ago with my friend Dania! And of course, we had to take photos with their famous sunshine yellow wall! I wanted to keep the look “summery” so I wore a crop top with a bright daisy-print to go along with the theme and then paired them with my favorite DIY high-waisted denim shorts. I topped it all off with sunglasses and a messy bun for the hot summer! I hope you enjoy the look! Be sure to check out my Instgram: Syd.Nguyen and upcoming pictures under my new hashtag #stylewithsyd 🙂
This is my very first blog post for my new page and I’m so excited to get started! A few months ago, I got to explore the Deep Ellum streets with my friend Renee as well model for a photoshoot with Picsuretime. Deep Ellum consists of a lot of artistic graffitied walls, vibrant galleries, and other public displays of color and creativity. Our photoshoot was “Streetwear” inspired to correlate with street murals and vintage vibe.
My Street-style Look: To create my look, I wanted to play around with various prints and patterns but keep the tones muted. I started off with a black-and-white graphic tee shirt and tucked them into my DIY High-waisted shorts. I wanted to add some color so I paired it with a plaid button down and wore it as a cardigan. I also love wearing heels so pairing heeled ankle-booties with high-waisted short shorts visually makes my legs appear longer. To top it all off, I used a temporary tattoo for my leg and drew a henna-inspired print on my arm with a sharpie. Hope you love the look!
