Merry Christmas!

Let the holiday festivities begin! To me, holidays are all about spending time with family and friends. I love creating a “Winter Bucketlist” every year to carry on my favorite traditions like looking at Christmas lights, candy cane exchanges with my best friend, and baking gingerbread cookies. I also love trying out new wrapping paper ideas and planning the perfect holiday outfit!

Red is such a classic, timeless color so I decided to wear this fit and flare dress. Fur is a huge trend during winter months. I love the jewel toned fur items like plum, emerald green, and sapphire. But I decided to keep the outfit simple by pairing it with a white coat and black patterned tights. Tights are great way to still wear dresses and skirts during the cold weather but the printed ones are so much more fun to wear! I hope you love the look and Happy Holidays everyone!

Holiday Glam

‘Tis the season to be stressed, from planning cocktails for that holiday party to buying last minute stocking stuffers…it’s easy to forget to pamper yourself. Why not take advantage of the holidays by adding a little bit of sparkle to your makeup routine? That’s why I decided to team up with photographer and MUA Deon & Alayza Casey again to create this “Holiday Glam” look. Be sure to check out their links at the bottom of the page and their blog Focused on Beauty.

Winter weather is the perfect time to start wearing more makeup and trying out those fun, bold makeup looks you’ve been dying to rock. So why not add some glitter to that smokey eye? Or highlight your cheekbones with gold powder? Or my personal favorite, swipe on some red lipstick!

Alayza started off the look with a brown smokey eye and added some bronzy-gold glitter towards my inner eyelids that made them pop and shimmered purple in the light! It’s important to blend all the colors with a light to dark gradient effect (starting from the inner eye) before you pack glitter. Because you’re working with glitter, it’s easier to start with the eyes to clean up any residue before applying foundation. Tip: Use tape to pick up any leftover glitter on your face.

The classic red lip is always a timeless look, but why not try something a little different by opting for a wine color? It paired perfectly with the gold glitter from my eyes and instantly made me feel glamorous! I’m so excited to start trying out festive makeup looks this holiday season with Christmas just around the corner. Be sure to check out all the products used from this look below!
